About Adam

Biography
Adam is a classically trained Pianist, Organist, Oboist, Guitarist, Musical Director and Composer. At the age of five, he saw Rick Wakeman in concert and was inspired to pursue a musical life. After 10 years of musical training with esteemed organist “Geoff Gratton” and at Lady Manners (a specialist music school in Bakewell), he went on to study at York St John University and graduated in 2016 with a bachelors degree in Music. He is now studying for a Masters degree and his RCO associate organ diploma. He currently holds Musical Director positions for a number of theatre organisations and choirs including: Kaleidoscope Players, Brookdale Youth Theatre, Stockport Choral Society and The Smithy Belles Singers. He is also the Organist of St Bartholomew’s Church, Chesterfield. Aside from this, he regularly tours the U.K. and abroad both as a soloist and alongside other established artists such as legendary guitarist “Gordon Giltrap”. Venues which he has performed in include: The Royal Albert Hall, Blenheim Palace, Union Chapel and Durham Cathedral. Adam has also been involved in a number of high profile recordings and commissions. In 2020, he was invited to play keyboards for charity tribute single to the late Dame Vera Lynne which featured members of Jools Holland’s Band and was also commissioned by Manchester Council to compose an symphonic work for the Halle Orchestra. When he is not performing himself, Adam can be found assisting Rick Wakeman on his tours as a member of the technical crew.
Other artists which Adam has worked with (or performed alongside) include Adam Wakeman, Nikki French (Eurovision), John Rutter, Bob Chilcott, Jonathan Ansell (from G4), Kate Rusby,, Lucy O’Bryneand Rebecca Newman.
